Hunt for a New Car
My hunt for a new car started after seeing the Scion TC ad on a commercial.I went online and started to research it. Weeks later I stumbled upon the Toyota Prius. The Prius seemed to be the perfect car for me. It was great for the environment, easy on gas and it was simply a cool car. After months of research I got to see the car I had been dream about. The test drive was great, but there was only one problem... I couldn't afford it. So I left empty handed but continued to read of the car online. I'd spend my time on sites like priuschat and priusonline. I told friends and family that one day I'd own the car. On Monday of this week I thought I had found a great deal on a used prius so after 1 hour 30 min. drive I saw the car and my heart broke as I saw it had been rear ended with a damaged bumper, many scratches and a odd cow like smell inside the car. The sticker price was also $1000 above the online price and it had over 40 miles added to the car. Asking the salesman about the rear bumper he merely commented... "Oh I can paint that." I looked at him with a mixture of disbelief and annoyance. In the end I left without the prius and learned an important lesson... never try to buy a used Toyota Prius from a Honda dealer. In an odd turn of events the next night I was sitting at a Honda dealer as I awaited delivery on a brand new 2008 Nighthawk Black Pearl Honda Fit.
